YOUTH IN AGRICULTURE



Our Goal

To ensure sustainability of agricultural production and realize the goal of food security and sovereignty as well as improve nutrition and access to agricultural produces.



Our Objectives

• Facilitate increase agricultural production which contributes to self sufficient food system;

• Provide conductive alternatives for youth to reduce crime and other social problems;

• Increase productivity in the agricultural activities which depend on youth, who make up 63% of the population in Liberia;

• Increase employment opportunities  particularly rural employment;

• Improve the poor image of youth involvement in agriculture, since the young people are the ideal catalysts for such change given their greater propensity and willingness to adopt new ideas, concepts and technology which are all critical to changing the way agriculture is practiced and perceived;

• Prepare, equip and nurture young people to replace the ageing producers of agricultural products.
